Achillea millefolium Selection / 'Calistoga' Yarrow

One of the prettiest California Native perennials we carry, ‘Calistoga’ is easy to grow, produces tons of butterfly-attracting flowers, and has what many think are the most eye-catching leaves of any yarrow we stock.  Selected by our friends at Cal Flora Nursery in Sonoma County, this great plant handles Coastal (Oxnard, Ventura) and Inland (Ojai, Simi Valley) climates well, needs little water and looks great next to other low-water plants.  Beautiful gray leaves stay low and tight, spreading to 2 feet or more.  Flowers are 2 feet high and appear Spring – Summer or longer.  Makes a good cut flower and the leaves are used traditionally as food and medicinally.
